Today was another really pleasant cruise along the Soar from
Sileby Mill up here to Loughborough. You travel past some really nice properties
facing onto the river, in some ways it reminds me of parts of the Thames. Once
again the weather was better than forecast, it must be warming up a bit since
last night was the first night this year on the boat when we didn’t light the
coal fire.
Now in Loughborough we have picked up half of the weekend
shopping, we’ll do the rest tomorrow morning before moving on down the Soar
towards Trent Lock.
